About the team

The Solution Design team works as an autonomous unit specifically tasked to work alongside Business Development and design innovative solutions to customer business needs. The team is comprised of a growing number of architects supported by Technical Architects, Bid Management and Pricing Consultants.


Tasks

  • Work with Business Development in proposing proactive customer engagements outside of customer buying processes
  • Work collaboratively with customers to ascertain buying criteria and analyse business strategies, translating them into architectures and designs
  • Analyse and break down customer RFP and RFI’s
  • Be a key member of the bid team for each customer opportunity, working in close partnership with the Business Development Lead, the Bid Manager and the Pricing Consultant
  • Own the overall solution, ensuring that customer requirements are met or exceeded
  • Provide innovation to differentiate the company's solution from that of the competitors
  • Lead customer workshops to collaboratively build solutions with the client
  • Author solution documents and contribute to Bid responses
  • Be a key contributor to costs and occasionally own the financial model
  • Lead internal Solution workshops with Pricing, Bid Management, Service Delivery and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure that the best solution architecture is adopted
  • Support the development of new portfolio offerings and propositions

Requirements

  • Technical skills: Cloud Platforms (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Azure), End User Computing, VOIP/Unified Comms, Office 365 (SCCM, Intune, Autopilot), virtualisation, Citrix / VDI, Switching, Routing & Firewalls and Security Services knowledge
  • Comprehensive understanding of field services & break-fix, deskside support, spares & logistics, service desk, SAM, infrastructure and network support, full ITIL framework and SIAM
  • Prince 2 methodology
  • CMMI maturity modeling
  • Proven experience of working on deals of £1m - £20m+ TCV
  • Demonstrable experience of Solutioning multi-national deals
  • Financial fluency, which includes working with P&L,TCO, ROI, cost analysis, and financial statements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good market knowledge within business sectors including competitor offerings
  • Commercial knowledge - contractual & TUPE awareness
  • English language proficiency (written and verbal)
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certificate
