About the team
The team brings together a diverse group of experts across all pre-sales stages – bid management, pricing, solution architects – with varying matters of expertise: security, workspace, cloud, and more. The In-Client Architects (ICAs) form a key role in delivering pre- and post-sales consultancy across all major portfolio areas covered by the company. You will be a Lead ICA for a key account, managing up to 6 other ICAs within the account.
Tasks
- Work with client managers or directors in existing accounts to identify and lead client opportunity engagements to win and deliver projects
- Lead requirements capture & solution shaping / architecting activity, including prototyping and proof of concept development as required
- Agree delivery costing models and underwrite project costings to ensure profitability targets achieved in pricing & delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key 3rd party service providers & partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts up to and including senior IT and CXO level
- Keep abreast of the company's portfolio offerings, emerging technologies and market opportunities that could enable business growth & differentiation
- Assist the project team in building on the relationships established with the client team during initial engagements
- Act as the technical lead for assigned project delivery, supporting Programme & Project Management teams
- Support risk mitigation and issue resolution activity related to both ongoing services and new projects
- Support client and project managers in cost reduction and profit optimisation activity
- Be responsible for the technical handover of all designed elements to Business-as-Usual teams
- Lead the team of ICAs within the account, providing sound leadership and commercial judgement where required
- Mentor and develop other technical resources
- Produce High-Level Designs and supportive reviews on SME generated Detailed Level Designs
- Occasionally support Client Management with particularly complex Major Incidents or Problem records, providing a holistic view, merging information from numerous subject matter experts
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar customer-facing role
- A degree-level qualification in Computer Science (or similar discipline) OR a relevant professional qualification (e.g TOGAF) OR equivalent business experience
- A minimum of 8 years consultancy experience, or relevant experience in a similar role
- Extensive experience working in Project Delivery across numerous technical areas
- Extensive exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- A good understanding of proposal generation and pricing with recent demonstrable experience
- Basic understanding of Network technologies
