Tasks

• Simulating and designing micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)
• Designing optical systems, including tolerance and stray light analysis
• Finite-element simulation of sensors for automotive and consumer electronics
• Continuous development of simulation methods
• Broad range of FEA topics related to innovative MEMS sensors and sensor packages
• Evaluation, documentation and presentation of the simulation results.
• Active participation in international project teams

Requirements

• Design of imaging or laser systems (e.g. tolerance analysis of optical systems, understanding geometrical and physical optics, Gaussian beam propagation)
• Understanding of mechanical simulation using FE method, basic experience with ANSYS
• Good programming knowledge in Matlab is an advantage
• Knowledge in MEMS is an advantage
• Good communication skill in English in oral and written form, German knowledge is an advantage
• Systematic, analytic way of thinking
• Good teamwork and flexibility
