About the role

A global company in the military industry is looking for a new employee for the position of Senior C++ Developer. The company's recently established headquarters in Budapest supplies mission systems and simulation solutions to military, government and commercial customers.

In the position as a Senior C++ Developer (m/f/d) you have the chance to work in a high-performing team for software development and testing in support of simulation programs in land, air and maritime domains.
They are looking for the future technical leaders, versed in the technology, not afraid to step into a new industry not present before in Hungary with capabilities to push this industry forward.

Tasks

• Design, develop, test and launch software components and sub(systems) embedded within the overall software architecture in C++
• Document the relevant software components and support the system integration
• Build software prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternative designs
• Deep-dive and understand the technical intricacies of a problem and foster collaboration to drive the solution
• Stay informed on existing and state of the art software engineering technologies
• Mentoring of junior engineers

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, data structures, object-oriented design and complexity analysis
• 5+ years experience in working on large software projects and contributing to the architecture and design (performance, scaling, maintainability, testability, etc.)
• Very good programming and design skills in C++
• Experience in modern CI/CD automation practices
• Experience in the technical management of software development preferred
• Very good English and Hungarian language skills, written and spoken
• Willingness to travel for business
